This unique rural YMCA facility is used by regular fitness members, business groups for retreats, and campers. We expanded the main facility and achieved a goal of net-zero energy use increase. Elements of the multi-phased project included:

The City of Kalamazoo’s Transportation Center now plays a prominent role in the City’s downtown redevelopment plan. The project included the complete renovation of the existing 1887 Cyrus L.W. Eidlitz train depot and the addition of two 27,000 sq.ft.

The new Great Lakes Center for Autism Treatment and Research is the first of its kind in Michigan and is home to two of the Center’s programs.

The St. Louis Center is a caring, residential, family living and learning environment providing for the physical, emotional, spiritual needs of children and adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities.

Friendship Village is always looking for ways to improve their grounds.  Looking to excavate and pave around building 5 to create a complete Ring Road around the village.  New sidewalks, pathways adjacent to Ring Road.  2 Garage Units to be placed by the new road section.  New

Kalamazoo Area Christian Retirement Association (KACRA) contacted Kingscott with the re-design of their Long Range planning and to incorporate a variety of choices for living and potential development of their campus. 

Randall Residence of Tipp City, Ohio offers seniors the opportunity of maintaining an active, independent lifestyle.

Serene and state-of-the-art, Bronson Commons serves two patient populations.  75% of the facility provides care for short-term rehabilitation patients, while 25% of the facility caters to long-term care residents.     

The new high school sits on a 24-acre site. It meets the district’s guiding principles of good natural lighting, openness, and flexibility while promoting communication and allowing for future growth. Features include:

Community involvement in the planning and design of this new elementary school was very important. During the planning, all community forums were conducted in a bilingual format, English and Spanish, to engage area residents. 

A successful bond vote made remodeling improvements at four elementary schools possible.  

This new kindergarten and special education classroom addition includes:  replacement of doors, carpet, ceilings and classroom cabinets, new main entry canopy and office to south side of building.  A new secured exit to playground, improvements to parking lots and corridor upgrades were

This project houses the 9th grade New Tech High School Students and Facilitators and includes addition to project-based learning studio, a collaborative learning space for team activities, large instructional rooms to accommodate team learning and window replacement and entrance remodel.

When the community of Fremont decided it was time to replace its 86-year-old high school, a building that had been added onto and patched together many times over, they turned to architects they trusted, Kingscott.

Remodeling and additions at the District’s school building were completed.

This project took a 1950s era campus style high school and through selective demolitions and creative additions, tied four existing buildings into one cohesive facility.  

Improvements include new Gymnasium with Athletic Support areas.  Separate Gym Entrance, Fitness Area with shared community Locker Rooms.  New Ball Fields, entrance to Football Field and New Training Facilities

 

This building had a circular pod around a circular core.  Over the course of two and a half years new classroom wings were constructed, maintaining the central core and operations while the building was transformed into a 21st century learning environment.

With starting a new Magnet Program, they took the existing  Ardis Elementary School and converted it to house the new Technology High School at Ardis.  Innovative Learning/teaching program is a student driven, student developed curriculum. 

In order to create what Gull Lake desired, all additions (1939 & later) were demolished.  The original 1929 building was restored and remodeled for its new use. 

This facility houses the county's program to teach life skills to cognitively impaired students of all ages.  Pre-K to High School and adults.  Their needs include additional 10 (1,200 sq ft) Classrooms that have all their own Restrooms & Equipment Storage Area.  4 Classroo

Facility houses the Technology Career Program for 11th & 12th Grades.  New Main Entrance, along with new Administrative offices.  New student commons/learning studio.  New Science Lab, Health Careers Classroom and new state of the art Careers Simulation Lab

Improvements include new Football Bleachers, New Track, Tennis Courts, Softball/Baseball Diamonds.  New Football/Soccer practice field and also a new Soccer Field.

Athletic upgrades were completed as part of a plan to put the district on parity with other conference districts and to add to the flexibility and usefulness of the facility.  Upgrades included:  A new multi-use artifical field, a new 8-lane running track, field events for high jump, lo

Constructed as part of the 2010 District Bond issues.  Its features are 3,500 seating capacity, 2-tier box with private coaching rooms/video deck.  New Scoreboard, lockers rooms, coaches office, storage and an athletic training room.  New Concession Stand and restrooms

With a design for Theatre, Music, Dance and Lectures, seating was expanded to 600 (main) and 300 (balcony).  Portable Acoustics, Orchestra pit with handicap accessible.  New soundboard/control room, HVAC System

Additions include planning, development, design and construction of a New Science Wing including Six Laboratories, Anatomy & Physiology Labs, Research Room, Administration Offices & Storage space and an Indoor Greenhouse.

Building a facility after the purchase of an existing 25-acre Lockhaven Church Camp, they wanted to develop a Center for Community Advancement.  Which will eventually house the ISD's Renaissance School.  To fully support alternative, new tech and educational programs. 

Key improvements include complete reconstruction between I-94 and the Kalamazoo River.  Relocation of Miller Road & 35th Street intersection, 400 ft to the N.  Road grade raiesd nearly 3 feet to meet requirements for a (future) bridge.

Key Improvements to 13, 500 ft of four lane, urban roadway includes Milling, Resurfacing, Adding new Turn Lanes.  Kingscott provided Project Management, Road Design and Construction Inspection Svcs.

Improvements were made within Safety and Flow, backups were eliminated.  Widening of Roads, resurfacing the Roadway, a left hand turn lane was created, improvements to the Stormwater drainage system and all completed while maintaining one way traffic flow.

Their primary focus after passing a 29 million bond was energy updates.  A closed loop ground heat exchanger (geothermal) with 36 vertical bores, each being 300ft deep.  4 water-to-water heat pump modules, total of 80 tons capacity.

Grand Haven Area Public Schools passed a $29 million bond to make improvements, with a primary focus is energy updates.

Complete renovation of the performance hall with new seating, drapery, orchestra pit, rigging and lighting.  Remodeled Green Room and Dressing rooms.  New sound & control booths, reshaped Auditorium and custom Orchestra shell to enhance acoustics.  Remodeled Entrance and Lobby

Kingscott also designed two respite homes that are centers for 24-hour support services to families with member/children with severe developmental disabilities.

The project involved converting the manufacturing space from a metal fabrication operation into a full mining vehicle production facility.
